Painting Colourful Birds & Mobile Making

Creative day from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Suitable for age 5 to 12 years old Join artist Lee Elder for a colourful school holiday workshop where children will create a large, vibrant bird painting inspired by contemporary artists and playful pattern-making. Students will explore bold colours, shapes, collage and painting techniques to design their own unique bird artwork on canvas. No two birds will be the same—each child will be encouraged to express their own creative style and imagination. Learn simple bird drawing techniques and explore shape, pattern and composition. Use bright colour combinations and pattern making with collage elements. After lunch, children will transform recycled materials and natural treasures into a beautiful hanging bird mobile to take home. Using cardboard, yarn, beads, feathers, natural materials and decorative papers, children will create a whimsical hanging mobile featuring birds, flowers and colourful elements that move gently in the breeze.
