At The Art Studio we focus on teaching the fundamentals of painting & drawing, developing creative thought and imagination. Our team of professional artists have an extensive experience teaching art and inspiring studnets to get into art making. Each teacher is an accomplished artist, specialising in drawing & painting techniques and mediums. We offer a high level of teaching, in depth learning to develop skills for beginners to advanced. OSNAT ALMOG
Founder

The Art Studio is managed by local Sydney artist Osnat Almog. Osnat is an exhibiting artist with a BA in Fine Art (National Art School) and a Master of Art (College Of Fine Art). Osnat established The Art Studio in 2010 with more than 20 years of experience in teaching art classes and facilitating workshops and art courses.

NIKI KOPPEL
Art Teacher special workshops 

Niki Koeppl is a Sydney based, emerging Australian Artist. Graduating from the National Art School in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in Sculpture, Niki primarily works as a Watercolourist, Sculptor and Portrait Artist at her art studio in Matraville.

TOBHIYAH STONE - FELLER
Art Teacher Creative Kids & adult classes

My creative practice is as a designer for live performance (set, prop, costume design) I teach set and costume design to high school and university students, alongside inspiring kids to get creative with observational drawing and collage.

Gabby Milgate
Art Teacher Sketch Club

Gabrielle is a practicing artist specializing in painting and sketching across various subjects and mediums. Her work has been featured multiple times at the Mcglade Gallery in Strathfield.

 

Gabrielle focuses on portraiture and anatomy, primarily using oil, acrylic, and watercolour paints, though she enjoys experimenting with different techniques. She is an experienced art educator, concentrating on developing students' techniques through formal and progressive art approaches. With four years of experience working with children and teenagers, Gabrielle combines her educational background with her passion for art.

 

She is nearing completion of her formal art education and will soon pursue a Master's degree in education.

Rachel Fairfax
Art Teacher adult classes

Rachel Fairfax is a figurative artist, working in mediums of paint, drawing and ceramics. Rachel studied a Bachelor of Fine Art and Honours degree at the National Art School, East Sydney.
She works as a Lecturer in Drawing and Painting at the National Art School 2002-present. Rachel’s practice involves making paintings in acrylic and oil paint, starting from a drawing
base. She is mostly known for her expressive seascapes and ocean paintings which draw on an amalgamation of her childhood in Forster/Tuncurry and adulthood in Coogee area. Her work also involves interior landscapes, birds and broader genres referencing motherhood and childhood. Rachel is represented by Stella Downer Fine Art in Sydney, NSW and Harvison Gallery in
Perth, WA.

Sonya Jackson
Art Teacher adult classes 

Sonya is a landscape artist who enjoys working with fire and ink, as well as oil painting. She has completed an advanced diploma of visual arts from St George TAFE, and studied oil painting with Charlie Sheard. Sonya is passionate about sharing her experience and knowledge and supporting others on their creative journey. Sonya’s philosophy is to draw and paint for the joy of it. She believes there is no right or wrong way to make marks and that we are all creative beings. “We are all beautifully different from each other, just as our signatures are unique, so are our marks.”

Gargi Khanna
Art Teacher Creative Kids 

Gargi is currently pursuing her Master’s in Animation and Visual Effects at UNSW. Passionate about all things creative, she finds her voice through film direction, storytelling, and painting, her favourite medium of expression. She has been painting for over six years and loves creating spaces where others can explore freely and reconnect with their inner artist.


She believes there are no mistakes in art; you can always paint over it, keep layering, and let things unfold. Gargi also sees the world as full of hidden stories, waiting to be expressed through colour and imagination.

Alessandra Rechsteiner
Art Teacher Creative kids  & Birthday workshops

Alessandra is an artist and designer who finds joy in exploring color, texture, and storytelling through painting and craft. Currently completing her Master of Design at UNSW, she loves working with upcycled textiles, natural fibers, and found materials, blending them into artworks full of character and meaning. She believes art and craft can bring us closer to culture, nature, and each other — all in a welcoming, expressive space where creativity can truly flourish.

Alison Yarlet
Art Teacher adult classes 

Alison is a self taught artist focused on drawing and painting with acrylics and oils. Her love for nature and people is what inspires her to continue making art. She is passionate about the constant growth of an artist to improve their ability to express their creative nature. She believes everyone can master the craft of artmaking by learning the basic fundamentals, understanding the concepts along the way and most importantly, through the enjoyment of the journey.

Juliana Rubio
Art Teacher Young Artists

Juliana Rubio Casas is an art educator with over nine years of experience working with young children. She blends imagination, play, and personal expression to help each child discover their creative voice from an early age. Juliana holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Caldas, a Specialization in Cultural and Creative Management from Sergio Arboleda University, and a Diploma in Graphic Design from Unitecnica. With a background in schools, museums, and cultural programs, she believes in art as a powerful tool for inclusion and meaningful learning. Now based in Sydney, she continues to share her passion for art with new communities of young learners.
